James explains that the word of God is so powerful that when we lay aside wickedness and receive God’s word and embrace it with our whole heart it becomes engrafted, a part of our whole being and has the power to save (remake, renew transform ) our souls (James 1:20-21).
So I invite you to the banqueting table of God’s word to meet Jesus in His word, to feast on the Manna from Heaven, to look into the glory and to be transformed into His Image through the power of the Holy Spirit and the truth and promises of God’s word. Peter reminds us that God has given you “exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust…Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2:4, 10)
